The Rocky Horror Show, 2009.

A sell-out show brought the bright and beautiful of Calahonda out to Bar La Orquidea.

This year's The Rocky Horror Show was yet another roaring success! Our cast of local players excelled themselves once again, under the guidance of our very own Mr Christopher Howard.

The cast put in a tremendous performance and Christopher even managed to persuade "The Les" to play Riff Raff due to a sudden illness from one of the cast members. Once again, Brad and Janet were played by Anita and Steve, so good you'd think they were actually a couple! Bill again, was outstanding as Dr Everett Scott and also brought the Eddie character to life.

New comers, David as The Narrator, Karen as Magenta and Matt as Rocky also produced wonderful performances and in true theatre style, have now caught the acting bug.

Special mention to Sam who opened the show with an excellent performance of "Science Fiction Double Feature" and of course, Chirstopher was perfect as usual.

Our sincere thanks to all the cast.

Due to the number of bookings we received for the first performance, we were quickly sold out and had to extended to a second night which was equally fully booked.

This year, for the first time, we saw people travelling from as far as Marbella and Estepona, their journey being made easier by being able to check online for travel instructions and reservations.

The two course menu at €9.95 proved to be very popular. Comments received were "great value for money", "brilliant atmosphere", "wonderful food", amongst many others.

This year's performance was, without doubt, the best to date. The costumes and stage design also went down well, as did the tremendous effort put in by the cast.

Many of the audience dressed up for the occasion which was fantastic, and the bar was decorated in a Halloween theme, wholeheartedly enhancing the atmosphere of the night.

His career has taken him all over the UK and Europe, spending many happy years in London's West End.

Now living in Spain he has developed his one man show, Tribute to the Musicals.

Without doubt the best show on the Costa Del Sol, not to be missed.

We recently hosted a fantastic Spanish Flamenco night. To say it was a success would be an understatement.

The Flamenco players - two dancers, one singer and one guitar player - were outstanding. Certainly some of the best entertainment we have had at the bar.
